What is meant when we say that Jesus takes away the sin of the world? Don't we still sin?
What this actually means, is that Jesus takes away the consequence of sin - which is death - by his resurrection and restoration of everything, including our very lives.
It also means he forgives our sins. He takes them away, by forgiving them, meaning they are quite literally gone. Erased.
