We pray to saints because we are a community. Everyone is asking everyone else to pray for each other. The saints know God better than we do, and know how to ask better than we do. We are all praying together for each other. We pray in unison. Love is unity. Love is one. Imagine all of creation praying for each other, for the salvation of everything, for forgiveness, for peace. But God in his love and providence, acted before anyone even asked, yet we ask anyway. And he saves it all. What a beautiful thing.
